'Unbelievable' - Some Man Utd fans mockingly suggest what OGS should do with problem

Despite eventually winning the game 3-0, Manchester United will be questioning their ability to convert penalties after missing two against Norwich

The first penalty, awarded after a suspect foul on Daniel James, was to be taken by Marcus Rashford. The young Englishman hit the shot low and to the keeper’s right, before the ball was smothered by Tim Krul.

The second penalty, given for a handball, was claimed by Anthony Martial. In an attempt to throw the goalkeeper off, the Frenchman went to the opposite side of Rashford, but Krul came up big again with the save.

The pair of misses caused fans to begin suggesting future penalty kick takers. While one fan was more realistic, suggesting veteran Ashley Young should take on the responsibility, others agreed that they may as well hand off spot kicks to their Spanish shot-stopper.

Many agreed that United should have done much better from 12 yards. Had both penalties been converted, the Red Devils would have won the game 5-0. One fan does admit, however, that the penalty-stopping ability of Krul must be applauded.

What do we think?

Going forward, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have a lot to think about regarding penalty kick takers. With Paul Pogba out injured until December, the Norwegian manager may have to look elsewhere. While De Gea may not be the answer, the likes of Ashley Young could be called upon in the future.
